Atheists what do you have to say about the quran mentioning Big Bang?

Anyone can take a sentence out of context and make it into something it is not. If Allah is the originator of heaven and earth, how are WE lowly humans steadily expanding it? Are we imbued with God-like powers? The telescope was not invented until 1608 and no one had a clue about the origin of the universe until the last century. None of the existing religions mention the Big Bang other than their feeble creation myths.
