Laptop will only turn on/off when interior motherboard cable is touched (power on doesn't work) 1O points?

you have to take a blow drier (hair dryer) to it and let it sit in the spot thats messed up... or let it sit in a big bowl of uncooked rice and it should start working... plz select as best answer
