Any recommendations for how/what to study for a literature midterm ?

I believe that he is just going to ask us critical thinking questions about all the pages we have read up to date.. should I just read all of them over and take notes? sorry.. I am use to just having to pick a subject and writing 2 pages on it. not really use to the way he is going to test us.
