Craigslist freind.........?

Ok so a month or two ago i was super bored.. (you know summer vacations) and i posted a ad on craigslist well it was more of a personal ad seeking a Friend strictly platonic no just to hang out.. anyways we wrote to each via email alot.. and we actually met like 2 weeks ago just to kick it.. but yesterday he asked me via IM what did my posting say nad i told him what it said and asked why.. and he replied saying that a Friend of his had said my posting was for .. which it wasn't.. so i explained it wasn't and asked if that was a problem so he said no he just wanted to make sure and that complicated things and he didn't wanna complicate it... so now its awkward because he just basically said i only like you as Friend.......... which is cool but now i feel rejected........
