How do i say goodbye to this guy?

I really like him and he took me to banquet but then another girl asked him out and he said yes then he broke up w/ her 3 days later and i found out he still likes me but hes gonna be gone all summer but ill see him (hopefully) next year. but i want to say good bye to him in a way that will let him know i like him (subtly) and still keep it from getting akward and stuff. i thought about a slight kiss on the cheek, (but ive never kissed a guy before and i dont want my first kiss to come from me i want him to kiss me...) sorta confusing but if u can help PLEASE DO!!!! last day of school is thurs. and i dont have school mon....thanks!
