Overclocking processor question?

there's this athlon 64x2 2.7ghz from newegg.ca and it says on the site that it's a black edition and its model is ADO5200DOBOX...i've read that those are two signs that a cpu has g2 stepping..i'm not even gonna pretend i know tons about this g2 stepping, all i know is that it's supposed to make overclocking easier.....btw, on the site,it doesn't actually say the cpu has g2 stepping but i think it has it because of the two hints i mentioned.....i just wanna know how does g2 stepping make overclocking easier? does it mean that when i want to oc the cpu from 2.7 to 3ghz i don't need to change the fsb and everything else, but just change the cpu multiplier????? here's the cpu link http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103210
