Flights: Can I book a return flight in reverse order?

I am a UK citizen living abroad with my UK bank account still active. Return flights are much cheaper ie london to melbourne in the uk than the equivalent melbourne to london return. I wandered if anywhere could let me book the flight in reverse ie pay the london-melbourne return but travel the mel-london return flight and pay in uk pounds
